for developers & builders

If you know bitcoin-cli, you already know NusaChain.

NusaChain is built from the Bitcoin Core codebase: same RPC, same UTXO model, same tooling. The difference is that the network is still young, so whatever you build today has a real shot at being the first of its kind.

A stack you know, a stage that's still empty

On big networks you compete with thousands of teams. On NusaChain you can be the first to ship a wallet, a point-of-sale or a notarization service for the ecosystem.

RPC you already know

getblockchaininfo, createrawtransaction, fundrawtransaction. Every command inherited from Bitcoin Core behaves the way you expect.

Data anchoring via OP_RETURN

Anchor a document's SHA-256 hash to the chain in a single transaction. Ideal for certificates, audit logs and proof of existence.

Multisig & timelocks from block 1

SegWit, CSV and CLTV are active from the start. Build escrow, shared wallets or staged payouts without complex smart contracts.

MIT license

Fork it, modify it, sell it. No license fees and nobody to ask for permission.

Offline transactions

The UTXO model lets transactions be signed without internet. GEMA Taobot relays them over mesh or sound, leaving lots of room for apps in remote areas.

An ecosystem that's still hungry

An explorer, pool, web wallet and Android app already exist. What doesn't exist yet is a much longer list, and that's your opportunity.

quickstart

From zero to your first transaction

Five recipes you can copy right away. The last one even runs from this page.

Build & run nusacoind

The process is identical to Bitcoin Core. If you'd rather not compile, grab the prebuilt Nusacoin Core wallet from the official site.

  • Build dependencies: see doc/build-unix.md
  • Initial sync is quick because the chain is still small
  • Download Nusacoin Core
# clone & build
git clone https://github.com/TaobotX11/nusacoin.git
cd nusacoin
./autogen.sh && ./configure --without-gui
make -j"$(nproc)"

# ~/.nusacoin/nusacoin.conf
server=1
rpcuser=yourname
rpcpassword=use-a-strong-password
rpcallowip=127.0.0.1

# run in the background
./src/nusacoind -daemon

Your first RPC call

Use nusacoin-cli, or hit JSON-RPC directly on port 28832 from any language.

  • JSON-RPC 1.0, same as Bitcoin Core
  • Libraries like python-bitcoinrpc work
./src/nusacoin-cli getblockchaininfo

# or over HTTP JSON-RPC
curl --user yourname --data-binary \
  '{"jsonrpc":"1.0","id":"hello","method":"getblockcount","params":[]}' \
  -H 'content-type: text/plain;' http://127.0.0.1:28832/

Anchor a document on-chain

The document is never uploaded. Only its 32-byte hash is written to an OP_RETURN output, and the wallet adds inputs and change automatically.

  • Needs a small NUX balance for fees
  • Verify: re-hash and compare with the tx
HASH=$(sha256sum diploma.pdf | cut -d' ' -f1)

RAW=$(nusacoin-cli createrawtransaction '[]' "{\"data\":\"$HASH\"}")
FUNDED=$(nusacoin-cli fundrawtransaction "$RAW" | jq -r .hex)
SIGNED=$(nusacoin-cli signrawtransactionwithwallet "$FUNDED" | jq -r .hex)
TXID=$(nusacoin-cli sendrawtransaction "$SIGNED")

echo "Anchored in $TXID"

A 2-of-3 wallet

Example for village funds: the village head, treasurer and council each hold one key. Funds move only when two of them sign.

  • P2SH addresses start with X
  • Keep the redeemScript for signing later
# each signer: grab a pubkey
ADDR=$(nusacoin-cli getnewaddress "" legacy)
nusacoin-cli getaddressinfo "$ADDR" | jq -r .pubkey

# combine 3 pubkeys into a 2-of-3 address
nusacoin-cli createmultisig 2 \
  '["PUBKEY_1","PUBKEY_2","PUBKEY_3"]' legacy
# → { "address": "X…", "redeemScript": "52…53ae" }

Read data without a node

The official explorer exposes a public CORS-enabled API, so you can call it straight from the browser. Try it here.

// the response will appear here
const res = await fetch(
  'https://explorer.nusacoin.org/ext/getsummary'
);
const { blockcount, supply, lastPrice } = await res.json();

console.log(`Block ${blockcount}, supply ${supply} NUX`);

One more node = a stronger network

NusaChain is still small, so every node and every miner genuinely moves the needle. Run a node on a cheap VPS or a mini PC, or point your X11 rig at the community mining pool.

This ecosystem is built together

You don't need to be a C++ wizard. Plenty of valuable contributions start small.

01

Run a node & report issues. The bug you find today prevents a big one tomorrow.

02

Write docs. Guides, especially in Indonesian, are badly needed.

03

Ship a small tool. A library, a plugin or a bot. The MIT license sets you free.

04

Show it to the community. NusaCoin's Telegram and Discord are where people hang out.

FAQ

Developer questions

Can I use Bitcoin libraries?
Mostly yes, since the transaction format and RPC come from Bitcoin Core. Swap in the network parameters: address prefix 0x35 (N…), P2SH 0x4b (X…), bech32 nu, P2P port 28573 and RPC 28832.
Are there smart contracts?
There's no EVM. NusaChain uses Bitcoin Script: multisig, CSV/CLTV timelocks, SegWit, and small payloads via OP_RETURN. For many real use cases that's enough, and far simpler to audit.
Is there a testnet?
Testnet parameters exist in the code (P2P port 38573), and the whitepaper lists a developer testnet on the roadmap. For local testing, Bitcoin Core's built-in -regtest mode is also available.
What's the license?
MIT. You may use, modify and commercialize the Nusacoin Core code.
An honest note: NusaChain is young. Official docs are still thin and the node count is small, so test your app with small amounts first and wait for enough confirmations before treating a transaction as final.
